PBA 50^TH ANNIVERSARY GALA

An excerpt from the PBA website... 

This event was being billed as the “Bowling Event of the Century.” The PBA’s 50^th Anniversary Gala event, presented by the Bowling Foundation, took place Jan. 24, 2009, from 7-11 p.m. at the Red Rock Resort, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas. Tickets were $2,500 per table (seats 10) or $250 per seat. 

“Our 50^th anniversary is a historical occasion and our anniversary gala will be an event worthy of such a milestone,” said PBA Commissioner and CEO Fred Schreyer. “We know our legion of supporters and fans will want to be on hand to witness and participate in this memorable evening.” 

The PBA did honor the 50greatest players in PBA history as part of the evening. See the PBA website for the complete list. 

Guests will also witness the 29^th PBA Hall of Fame ceremony where three players will be inducted for the first time since 2000. The inductees include: Norm Duke, Del Ballard Jr. and John Handegard. 

The live ESPN telecast of the H&R Block Tournament of Champions will take place at the Red Rock Casino on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 9:30 a.m. PT.
