Howell Lanes II captured the 45th Bahr Trophy Tournament at Shore Lanes — the fourth time in the last five years and ninth time overall that a team from Howell Lanes has reigned as champion.

The team of Chuck DeFeo (628), Mike Fogarty (688), John Jackson (681), John Petraglia Sr. (681), and Charles DelPlato (664) put together scores of 1,014, 1,194 and 1,134 for a total of 3,342, winning the title by 17 pins over Central Marine Service, bowling out of Brunswick Zone/Airport Plaza Lanes.

In third place, 48 pins behind the winners, was Howell Lanes III.

Howell Lanes II took home the top prize of $1,110.

Central Marine Service cashed in at $550 and Howell Lanes III won $350.

Top score went to Daniel Coppola, who rolled a 236-279-235 set for a 750 series. Coppola bowled on the Coppola 5 team from Strathmore Lanes.

Michael Carr (Downs Ford/Rev It Up Pro Shop, The Lanes at Sea Girt) was runner-up with a 740 series on games of 257, 227 and 256, two pins better than Tony Tesoriero's (Howell Lanes III) 730 (238-242-258).
