The Monmouth County 37^th Annual Queens Tournament was held at Howell Lanes on January 10^th, 2010.  Thirty-three of the top bowlers of Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex County bowled five games over five sets of lanes.  Jessica Worsley of Ocean County, led the field after the first set.  The field was then cut to the top 8 bowlers, who bowled an additional three games.  Sandy Davis of Ocean County took over the lead and top seed going into the step ladder format.

            In the first match Michelle Kane, the current NJ State Queen champion defeated the defending champion Cara Lukosius 213 to 192.  Michelle Kane then defeated Annie Orobano 239 to 156 in the second match.  In the third match Michelle Kane met Jessica Worsley, a rematch of the State Queens final.  Michelle defeated Jessica 244 to 203.  In the champion match Michelle Kane defeated Sandy Davis 202 to 186.  This is the first time Michelle Kane won the Monmouth County Queens Tournament.  In addition to the prize money, Michelle won an entry into the National Queens Tournament.  Michelle will be representing Monmouth County at the National Queens in El Paso, TX this April.

Cara is the only past winner – she has been a 6 time champion of the event.  The other had never placed in the top five prior to this event.
