HALL OF FAME

The Monmouth County USBC Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates the outstanding achievements and contributions of our most distinguished bowlers and community members.rformances from our talented local bowlers.

Requirements

  1. To be eligible for consideration in the Bowling Achievement Category, the candidate must have been a member of the MC USBC for a minimum of 15 years for males and females and a minimum of 22 years as a USBC member for males.
  2. To be eligible for the Meritorious Achievement Category, a candidate’s service must have been accrued over a minimum of 15 years.
  3. In addition to the years requirement for the Bowling Achievement Category, male and female bowlers must have achieved a minimum titles requirement of 6 total points. Major singles events count as 2 points and all other titles count as 1 point (This includes BOY as 1 point). See Appendix 1.
  4. The MC USBC utilizes a point system to objectively quantify candidates’ qualifications for consideration. The point system is designed for use as an aid in the compilation of the candidate’s biography, and as a guide for the Hall of Fame Committee when conducting the review process. See Appendix 2.
  5. Biographies must be prepared in a structured format, listing credentials chronologically within national, state and local levels. Information that may be pertinent, but not included in the events detailed on Figure A, may be included in the Comments section at the bottom of the form.
  6. It is the duty of the sponsor submitting the biography to ensure that the following point totals have been satisfied: For Bowling Achievement Category: 100 Total Points / 60 Monmouth County Points and 6 Title points. For Meritorious Service Category: 60 Points.

Initializing the Process

  1. Any MC USBC member may recommend, in writing to The Hall of Fame Committee, two candidates regardless of category each year.

DEADLINES

  1. Applications may be submitted to any member of the MC USBC Hall of Fame Committee. Applications MUST be submitted before March 31st to be considered for the current season.
  2. The Hall of Fame Committee will determine candidates for induction into the County Hall of Fame. The selection of inductees will not need a Board Vote. (Revised June 2015).
